Help Donate Feeders for Veteran!

We, at Wild Birds Unlimited of Knoxville, would like to invite you to participate in a collaborative initiative between WBU Knoxville and the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home (BATSVH). We were contacted by Terry Pate, Activities Director for BATSVH, about purchasing bird feeders and seed for their community. This conversation gave us the idea to help by donating (along with a couple of our vendors) some feeders and food and encouraging our customers to do the same. Our owner, a Navy Veteran, and our staff have many family members who served in our military. We all wish to honor this veteran community by bringing them the joy of bird feeding and watching birds. We ask you, our great customers, to participate by purchasing a feeder and/or food to bring joy to these patriots who have given each of us the freedom to participate in the hobby of backyard bird feeding!

A special thank you to Lori Tucker and the crew at WATE 6 for their fantastic spotlight on this initiative!

How you can help...
Come into the store to purchase a feeder and/or bird food to be donated directly to BATSVH.

Feeders are delivered to BATSVH on a regular basis. Food is delivered as needed.

Our original donation was 32 feeders. Please stop by and ask us how you can help us reach our ultimate goal of 80 feeders!
